When The King Steps Down was written in 2005 for Citizens of USA to have something to look forward to when President Bush leaves office in January, 2009. Instead of joining the Far Left and screaming “Impeachment” I hoped this song would encourage those who desire change to be patient.

When I wrote it, I had never heard of Mr. Obama, but now I think King Steps Down would make a great song for the Democratic Leader and his party.

Enjoy the song and Pass It On! I hope it lifts your spirit and causes you to dream Big! The King Will Step Down Soon! New Orders Will Be Given!

Peace and Love,

Trash Guitar

When The King Steps Down
Copyright 2005 Thomas James Richardson

When the king steps down,
There’ll be church bells ringing
Dancing in the streets, children singing
The king stepped down,
The king stepped down
The king stepped down

When the king steps down
New orders will be given
Peace and love is the way to heaven
For every woman, every man, every boy and girl
In every land
There’ll be liberty as it comes from above
Sprinkled with hope and laced with love
Cause all we need is love, love is all we need
Here it comes again
All we need is love, it echoes to history

When the king steps down
There’ll be church bells ringing
Dancing in the streets, children singing
The king stepped down, the king stepped down

Whistling

When the king stepped down
New orders were given
Forgive because you’ve been forgiven
Every woman, every man, every boy and girl
In every land
Will have liberty, as it comes from above
Sprinkled with hope and laced with love
Cause all we need is love
Love is all we need, here it comes again
All we need is love
It echoes through history, and there’ll be

No more war, no more heroes
No more war, no more fallen heroes
No more war, no more heroes
No more war, no more fallen heroes

When the king steps down
Whistling

When the king steps down,
There’ll be church bells ringing
Dancing in the streets, children singing
No more war, no more heroes
